GENTLE HATHA YOGA

Fridays 4:30-5:45

Hannah Keene leads this weekly Gentle Hatha Yoga Class  Her class focuses on slower, dynamic movement, synchronized with pranayama (breath) to allow for alignment of body and mind.  All levels welcome! 

 

YOGA FOR CORE STABILITY, HIPS, AND PELVIC FLOOR

Learn simple, yoga-based sequences to help with your hips and lower back.  This class series will emphasize exercises for gentle stretching of tight external muscles and activation of deep core muscles. Students will learn effective techniques to encourage deeper breathing and simple pelvic floor exercises that can be employed in everyday life. A study guide with the different exercises will be provided to help with home practice.

These classes will benefit anyone who has lower back sensitivity or tightness in the hips.  The exercises we work on are especially good for managing anxiety, high stress and sleep difficulties.

*Students must purchase entire series. Missed classes can be made up during the next series.

GUIDED MEDITATION AND ACUPUNCTURE SERIES

First Sunday of the Month, 6:30-7:30 pm

This monthly series combines guided meditation by Nathan Paulus with acupuncture in our community room. These classes are be a great way to renew, revisit, or start a meditation practice with the added help of acupuncture. They will also help people learn how to have a more relaxing acupuncture experience when coming in for regular visits.

Each person will receive the same acupuncture protocol designed to balance the nervous system and organs of the body and help shut down the mind. While you relax with your needles, you will be guided into a 40-minute deep meditation. The basic system of meditation will be the same each month, but there will be different exercises given while in a deeper state. Space is limited, so book soon!

 


BEGINNER TAI CHI SERIES

 Tai Chi is a sequence of gentle, rhythmic movements through 37 postures, flowing one to the next. This 4-week introductory series is for beginners to learn basic Tai Chi basic principles, including five loosening exercises, the first section of short form, and 4 of the 8 fixed push hand patterns.
