CUPPING

Cupping is a relaxing and relieving therapy that uses glass suction cups placed on the skin to disperse and break up stagnation and congestion in muscles. The suction in the cups gently separates the muscle from the surrounding connective tissue in order to improve blood and lymph flow. Cupping is like the inverse of massage, but rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle suction to pull them upward. Once applied, the cups are generally left in place for up to ten minutes while the patient relaxes.

Treatments take place in their own private room one on one with an acupuncturist or massage therapist.

  • It’s Fast and Effective - treatments are only 30 minutes and patients often report feeling better immediately after treatment.

  • It’s Vascular - cupping promotes tremendous blood flow to the areas of treatment, causing a cascading effect for healing and muscle recovery.

  • It’s Temporary: it’s great for muscle tension but won’t address root issues like an acupuncture or massage regimen.

  • It’s Visible - cupping leaves painless red marks on the skin that can last 3-7 days after the treatment.
